Overview Role Purpose Operates independently and is responsible for management of Elm Point Animal Hospital.
Responsible for the day to day operational and clinical flow management of the facility.
The Hospital Administrator will oversee all operations at the hospital and must have the highest regard for maintaining a healthy, safe, and cohesive work environment.
The Hospital Administrator is responsible for the success of the hospital through benchmarking, client and staff retention, productivity, and profitability.
The Hospital Administrator will be responsible for human resources, inventory management, ensuring the practice complies with industry laws and regulations, managing marketing and client relations, financial management and the overall practice organization.
Responsibilities Reports to:
Hospital Owner Manages Elm Point Animal Hospital employees including but not limited to:
hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance.
Ensures that the productivity and actions of the team meet/support the overall operational goals of the hospital as established by the Hospital Owner.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.
Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Conducts daily rounds for facilitation of patient flow as well as client satisfaction.
Available for immediate and timely response to challenges to daily workflows.
Develop a staffing plan that meets both client expectations and financial constraints.
Create an environment where employee engagement and feedback facilitates positive change.
Interacts and collaborates regularly with veterinarians to provide direction and oversight of effective schedules, efficient clinic and patient work flow and medical protocols.
Provides leadership to direct reports in the execution of work plans and long and short term goals.
Monitor, measure, assess and improve hospital performance using industry benchmarks and financial review process.
Carry out or delegate all areas of financial management including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
