We are a growing manufacturing software technology and service provider and looking to expand our team to include a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk.
This position primarily focuses on placing Customer Orders, Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions of our organization.
It also includes some bookkeeping and general accounting tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, strong numerical aptitude, and excellent organizational skills.
The Accounting Clerk will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient operations related to the order management and finance side of the business.
Responsibilities:
Order Management:
Process customer orders.
Issue Purchase Orders to vendors for applicable products sold and complete order in vendor's order system.
Accounts Payable (AP) Duties:
Manage the AP process, including verifying and entering vendor invoices into the accounting system.
Process payments to vendors by preparing checks, initiating electronic transfers, or utilizing other payment methods for Finance Manager to approve and finalize payment.
Reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Duties:
Timely prepare and issue customer invoices.
Monitor and follow up on overdue customer invoices.
Process customer payments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including contact information and payment terms.
Manage sales tax exemption certificates.
General Accounting Support:
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and timely KPI reporting.
Maintain organized and well-documented financial records, both in physical and electronic formats.
