We serve patients of all ages by providing the best medical eye care utilizing the latest in technology, an outstanding optical experience, and success at fitting even the most difficult of contact lens cases.
Our staff enjoy fulfilling work in solving visual problems for our patients and preserving our most important sense- sight.
Our team is looking to expand by adding new team members for full time work.
Schedules are 40 hours a week - Monday thru Friday - with no weekends.
Team members at Bogey Hills Vision Center enjoy a tight-knit working environment that encourages self improvement and cooperation.
No previous optical experience necessary.
Only people skills and computer skills are necessary to succeed here.
A customer service background is also helpful.
We provide on-the-job training to develop valuable skills necessary to work in a medical office environment.
We have two types of skills that will be developed:
Optometric technician skills including Patient pretesting workup Patient testing techniques including auto refraction, lensometry, fundus photography, OCT testing, and visual field testing.
Basic communication skills needed to interact with all patients and collect important health history and present illness information Basic HIPPA rules Optician skills including :
The basic physics of eyeglasses and contact lenses Contact lens insertion and removal Basics of an Eye prescription Frame and Lens material selection based on Eye prescription Most of our employees become proficient in both of these categories over the course of 3-6 months of employment.
We have seen great success with our apprenticeship model of training.
