Our hospital has a great reputation for providing exceptional veterinary care to dogs, cats, and birds of prey in St.
Charles, and we are eager to welcome a new member to our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for Veterinary Assistants with current experience, excellent critical thinking skills, a passion for veterinary medicine, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
We are looking to hire a full-time, Monday-Friday and rotating half Saturdays.
Background and
Experience:
Skilled Veterinary Assistant with more than 3 years of hands-on experience Experience caring for dogs, cats, and exotic animals Dependable, enthusiastic, hardworking, honest, and team orientated individual Strong work ethic and ability to jump in and help where needed Ability to provide the gold standard of medicine and client communication Long-term commitment to the veterinary field Familiarity (or experience with) Cornerstone is a plus

Taking patient histories Assisting in exams Anesthesia monitoring Injection and medication administration Gentle patient restraint Pharmacy duties Blood draws IVC placement Outpatient procedures General hospital cleaning Client service and communication Assisting the front desk as needed Full-time

We primarily treat small animals, and our doctors are well-equipped to see routine surgery cases, dentistry, and orthopedics.
In addition to our permanent DVM team we also have great relationships with relief doctors in the area and have an incredible talented support staff (includes an RVT!) Our hospital has 5 exam rooms and is equipped with an iM3 dental unit, digital dental radiography, heated surgery tables, electrosurgery unit, full range of in-house laboratory equipment and more.
We're in a great location less than 30 miles from downtown St.
Louis and 10 miles from the airport.
