Competitive Compensation Great Benefits 401k matching Tuition reimbursement Opportunity for growth and advancement stability We care about the wellness of our employees EPA Plan Paid time off Parental Leave Job DetailsThe Quality Engineer will have primary responsibility for implementing the Quality Plan with the product development teams across the Enterprise, to improve the quality of the product being introduced to production.This role requires a self-directed individual with motivation to utilize the Quality Planning tools with project teams being focused on defect prevention, and opportunities to develop process / product quality prior to releasing the product to productionThe Quality Engineer will work closely with project teams as well as various functions within, including leadership, operations, engineering (development and manufacturing), supply chain, product/account management, and customer serviceThe Quality Engineer will lead the team to complete the Quality Planning tools per the project plan to ensure product is released to production on schedule, with Quality metrics in place to measure the success of the product releaseThis role will also require a good understanding of customer product requirements and quality system requirements as prototypes and production level product is delivered.Your Key Responsibilities Develop, execute, and evaluate project plans, identify gaps, and work with internal and external customers to develop their capability to meet expectations Understand and follow all organization and department safety policies and procedures. Lead/coaching product development teams using quality planning tools, such as PFMEA, Control Plan, Gauge R&R, Capability Analysis, error proofing -Poka yoke practices. Leading/coaching product development teams using the tools to develop enterprise quality metrics (i.ePPM, RTY, Scrap, etc.) Leading quality focused programs, such as Kaizen/JDI events for product improvement Flexible to travel to visit sites for production readiness reviews. Read and interpret customer specifications and drawings for complex products and implement them into business processes, products and processes. Provide coaching and feedback to less experienced engineers and technicians. Directs and monitors the work of less experienced employees. Other responsibilities as required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree, technical degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience Mastery applying quality tools (i.eData analysis/Pareto, SPC, Error Proofing, MSA/Gauge R&R, Control Plan/FMEA) Ability to speak and write English fluently. Desired Qualifications Understanding and application of lean product development tools and methods Process Auditing Experience Ability to work under general direction or with minimum supervision. Self-directed and motivated to meet team defined goals and provide coaching/feedback when necessary. Ability to lead through influence Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools Project Management experience Experience developing Product Control Plans and developing complex testing and inspection methods. Experience with Error Proofing Methodologies Well organized and maintains a detail-oriented mindset Work Well within Team Environment and lead project teams formally or informally. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Mastery in the use of various measurement tools/gauges, electrical equipment, temperature & power controls, temperature sensors, and fluid control devices Advanced mastery of advanced systematic/ creative problem-solving tools Interested in hearing more?
